Nate Hance is a clever arranger. I love this kind of thing because it draws in your audience--family or otherwise. It's artistic without the difficulties of Liszt or Rachmaninoff. In the end, it's about bringing joy to your audience. This little piece does that! I hope he renews more folk songs like this that bring them out of days of yore. I wish I could do this.

This is a great accessible arrangement for even average pianists with a little work and patience. It's certainly worthwhile. It's appeal is to any audience because it is loaded with rhythm and fun (joy) and the tune is known by all. Put some variety in your repertoire!

I haven't tried the Jazzy version, but played the other two. I really like the piece, it's unusual but there's a beauty in it as well. Thank you for making this available, I love the idea :smiley:. Have you tried a longer version?

I love Nate's compositions. I purchased North Dakota Prairies, Water, Bells and Streams. What I love are the written options for improv, notation and chord symbols which is great when teaching improvisation. North Dakota Prairies is a great piece for teaching syncopation! Very jazzy and fun to play! All very relaxing to play 🎶
