The itsy bitsy spider felt a lot like Charlie Brown trying to kick that football, because every time he started up the water spout, down came the rain and washed him right back out.

After a hundred failed attempts he was fed up, and he decided it was time to show that rain and that spout who was really in charge.

He made his way to the dark web, where people keep all the secrets and spells they’d rather the rest of us never find, and he spent weeks studying them by the light of two candles in a skeleton candle holder until he finally felt ready.

One Wednesday afternoon he stood at the bottom of the spout and cast his spell, and the sky went quiet while the spout began to hum.

Nobody knows what happened next, and the neighbors who went out to check haven’t come back yet.
