A lovely request from one of my customers for a relaxing piano arrangement of the iconic and beautiful tune You Are My Sunshine.
This was my grandma's favorite song and we would play it together every time we saw each other. At the end of her life she had dementia, but this was one of 3 songs she could remember.
I entertain at many senior centers and always end with this song as a tribute to her. And I am always greeted with stories and memories they have from this song. It is a song that spans generations, transcends cultural barriers, and has such deep meaning and beauty for so many.
